Over the wall

I’ve been watching this plant growing the other side of the wall, and at last it has revealed itself as a sunflower. If it is growing in the ground on the other side of the wall it is nine feet high! I believe grandchildren visit there, so they would enjoy this.

I have started a new hexagon patchwork cushion. Grandson Jake has asked for one to go on a new settee and he wants shades of red. I have sorted through my stash of off cuts and it might be a struggle to find enough. I don’t want to buy fabrics, that’s not the idea. The last one I made (extra) was in purples and mauves and I had plenty of scraps for that one. It was for d.i.l.’s birthday and tones very well with their living room.
