Progress

We've had some challenging days since adopting Hamish on July 20, but he seems to have turned a corner this weekend and is an easier dog to be with. He's much calmer and is enjoying walks in our neighborhood and "free play" in our fenced back yard.

 I love cats, and have had several in the past, so I'm delighted that Hamish clearly relishes curling up in my lap (and Phil's -- despite what you see in the extra) and being petted. Now if he could only manage to purr...

Overlaying our pleasure in this little dog's gradual rehabilitation is the anxiety and anger we feel in response to how our empty-headed and empty-hearted President and his minions are treating demonstrators in Portland and Seattle. Beyond that, what will he do if he loses the election -- just 100 days from now?
