Once a Fireman
Always a jeweller.
At least, in the Fire Service, I wasn't asked to give Fire Safety advice or put a fire out while out shopping.
I vaguely seem to remember ;¬) mentioning I'm a recontituted Fireman.
After that I spent 13 years (NO significant number) pretending to be a jeweller. Must have worked pretty well, we were quite popular.
Since my second retirement I now get stopped and given wee jobs or asked questions about watches. I tried to merge the 2 photos above, because it makes more sense (?) Lost the Bleepin EXIF again
On the left is the scene which met me when I went to collect the day's milk.
On the right you see the contents of the package virtually welded to the milk bottle.
I put it to you, members of the jury ... If any-one wanted the watch so badly it'd be no hardship to pinch the milk bottle as well.
