Sea Holly and friends

A complete waste of a day - it’s rained all day until around 5.30pm. The. It cleared up a little but it was time for tea so I did not get out into the garden until at least 7pm by which time it was a bit darker than I would like and not much about. This bee and beetle were happily sharing the dwarf sea holly. 

The high winds today have blown down two of my zinnia plants and snapped their stems. I didn’t think they had to be staked, but obviously I was wrong! I brought them in and put them in a vase but I don’t think the buds are big enough to produce flowers, but we will see. Just slightly annoyed...

Hubby is no better, but at least he can play games online with his group this evening to take his mind off the pain. I hope it gets better quicker than normal as he is not a good patient and I get very frustrated with him as well - I am not such a good nurse! 

I’m turning off my comments for a while again as I can’t find the time or energy at the moment for commenting.  Be back at some time - hopefully after hubby gets better.
