Looking Through Layers

Fortunately we did get some rain yesterday evening and today the temperature was more comfortable, but part of that came from a stiff breeze. Although light levels were good and I had my iso high, photographing flowers in wind requires a few tactical choices.

I became intrigued by a leaf that wasn't green and had the idea to feature it by shooting through yellow flowers. I like the layered effect looking down into the depths of the shadows beyond. I think it's quite successful, although I wish now I didn't have a stalk crossing the leaf tip.
