Parched

The poor herd of young Guernsey heifers had to contend with a very parched field this week. We have not had enough rain to make this field lush and green. I imagine being right at the top of the south coast cliffs doesn't help.
We walk past this field when we take the dogs on the cliffs or down to the beach but its not had the heifers in there this year until now. It was nice to see them again. They are very friendly and inquisitive and will come to the gate to greet us.
