First Fishing boat

Early start today on this glorious morning. I watched as several fishing boats sailed out of the harbour and as the boat carrying the daily newspapers arrived from Jersey. The light was beautiful and as several airplanes left their mark in the sky it made the view out towards Herm Island look beautiful. When we had our sailing boat we always tried to time the tides for an early start like this and it brought back memories. I am happy that we don't  have a large sailing boat to look after this year.

Mrs BR went to a glass fusing evening with our daughter yesterday and learnt the principles of fusing different colours of glass. She thoroughly enjoyed it and would like to go again

It has been a busy time with Miss T who goes to the gym every day and therefore needs a lift. She is thoroughly enjoying this summer of new found freedom and thinking towards the next stage in her education. She has been helping out at home and doing some painting for pocket money. A car is being saved up for and she is making great progress towards it.
