Down to the north this morning...

To the Vale Castle to geocache.it was a bright sunny morning and pretty warm so I was delighted that the cache was in a shady area where there is a bunker. 
There is a tiny cemetery at the entrance to the castle which is looking sadly neglected now. In this cemetery are the re-interred remains of Russian soldiers, hundreds of which died after catching disease from marshy ground in Holland during an ill fated expedition. If you are interested you can read more here. 
These cranes are close by and I liked the look as a silhouette.
