Temporary accommodation.
This church-like building was erected by a local wealthy man, Edward Bliss, around 1820 in the extensive grounds of his large mansion on the outskirts of Brandon, a small Suffolk (UK) town. His master plan was to be laid to rest in his mausoleum, he died in 1845 and his wife in 1859, and so they were together as intended, but only for a time.
The estate was sold to another family in 1903 and the Bliss remains were then removed to a local churchyard.
More information, some of it odd and grisly, is in the extra.
