Rescue!

This photo shows the rescue by a valiant jet ski rider of a runaway rented paddle board which got caught in the current and strong wind and was heading out to sea. No one was on it, but the previous day at the same beach 4 teenagers on a lilo and a canoe had to be rescued after similarly being swept out to sea on the offshore wind. That story made the local press.
Today I was there with my snorkeling friend. It’s a great place to snorkel along by the rocks, and we saw loads of fish, and we even spotted another large sea slug. We also noticed the strong current, but turned round before being carried too far from the beach.

Earlier in the day I had a good long WhatsApp chat with a very good friend in Australia. The last attempt a few days ago had got cut off abruptly when my Internet and landline stopping working. Fortunately the connection was sorted out in less than 2 days.
