Long drive

It took longer than expected to get to the cottage today as there was an accident on the motorway. Four lanes down to two with ambulances, police cars and a helicopter heading to the front of the traffic. By the time we got past only police cars left and the two vehicles involve, looked like a car had hit a lorry from behind and was jammed under the back, nasty.
It took us half an hour between parking outside and getting through the front door as one neighbour stopped to talk and then friend next door came out to chat. It’s lovely that everyone is so friendly here.
I was changing my lens and Hetty and hubby were having a play with her ball on a rope and I managed to capture her trying to get the ball back.
We need to drive into Hexham for a food shop in the morning and I am thinking we might actually have a wander round if it is quiet.
