Failure, Frustration, but what a Friend

Found myself feeling anxious today. Then frustrated, that after a year out of uni, I still haven’t managed to get a better hold of my thoughts and think healthily/truthfully all of the time. (I think my expectations for this year might have been a bit different to God’s!)

Listened to “What a Friend We Have in Jesus”. One of my favourites. I love the line, “Jesus knows our every weakness”. He knows all of them, and none of them have changed His love for us.

Gratefuls:
- Seeing my cousin Matthew and his wife Brontë, who came to visit this evening! Last time we saw them was their wedding day - the Saturday before lockdown. So great to see them so happy, and enjoying life together. And getting to show Brontë the most embarrassing old photos of Matthew we could find!!
- Conor passed his driving theory! Next stop, the roads...
- Quality time with Mum today. Her patience and gentleness.
- “None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.”
