When Family become Friends

Went on a walk through Stormont this evening. Finding myself growing more and more in love for this city. This sculpture is named “Reconciliation” - there are 4 others across the world (Berlin, Jerusalem, Coventry, and Hiroshima, Japan). Conceived in the aftermath of the Second World War, after the artist read in a newspaper about a woman who crossed Europe on foot to find her husband.
“Then I thought that it wasn't only about the reunion of two people, but hopefully a reunion of nations which had been fighting."

2 extras of my company for today! Isaac, my second cousin who has become a good friend over the past few years. And my Grandma, who looked after me so well when I came to live with her last year! Both placed in my life through my family tree...but have become so much more than just relatives.

Gratefuls:
- Seeing how much Isaac has grown in his faith over the past few years, and how genuine his relationship with God is even in the middle of some really rough times. His encouragement, consistency, and amazing interest in people. A blessing of a friend!
- My Grandma - I love her so much.
- The peace that we enjoy in this city today - worlds apart from what my parents grew up in, and the answer to many prayers. God, let us see your Kingdom come even more in this place!
- laughing with Conor at some comics he found
- walking in the evening sun, enjoying time with God, and catching up with parents of a primary school friend along the way!
- really enjoying the video BGCoffee recommended yesterday! There is always joy to be found!
