Common Enchantments

Foggy morning

The fog was very thick when I first woke up but I watched to see if the sun would throw some color through it so I could get a photo. It did not but I did get a sunburst through the apple tree.

A nice cooler day in the low 70s.   I ran some errands for Tate to get chicken feed (he gets 6 eggs most mornings!), dog food and a part for the old Ford 8N tractor he has.   Hoping he and Jerry can make some time to put the part on tomorrow.

The saga of the bathroom is ongoing.   Tate worked all day to get the old floor that was wet and smelling out of the space.   Now at 7:30 pm he is finally putting the new plywood flooring back down and then will have to lay the linoleum on top of that before putting the toilet back and setting up the new vanity.     I can tell you these men are two peas in a pod...it takes them getting angry and saying a multitude of bad words in order to work hard.     I was glad to get away.

Since I did leave the house today I decided we would get some take out fried chicken so I would not have to cook.     Best decision!

In the extra is a photo of wild growing bee balm (Monarda) that was along the road on the way back from town.  I went a different way than I normally go and was really surprised to see it growing in the ditch in several spots.

Also, I loaded up the camera photos so I replaced the shot I did yesterday with a much better photo of the same scene.  The phone photo just did not do it justice!   Check out the better photo.
