Boat mug-shot sort of thing

I didn’t realise the forecast was for it to be wet all day. But it was wet all day, nonetheless. 
I sloped off up to that Supermarket at Comely Bank clutching my little list, as I have plans for the morn; I trust the forecast will be correct.
Then, a haircut. A professional haircut. I’d like to say the hairdresser complimented the previous cutter, but that didn’t happen. Professionals, eh? Then over to give the boat a wipe over - and right behind me, the Canadian was there with his new Golden Hind - the very vessel shown at the London Boat Show in 1970-something. A very comfortable vessel. Stovepipe and everything.
Right, must get on. Hardly time to reflect on the covid resurgence across Europe; it’s like we’ve spent untold billions keeping this thing at bay but actually, we’ve done nothing. It’s not like we’ve built sea defences or something useful. *shakes head*
