CannyScot's Day

Tentsmuir Forest

A glorious day

We had our Zoom Coffee ‘n Chat in the morning, when we said farewell to one of our folks who is leaving Dundee to start a new life in Cheshire in England.

In the afternoon, we had thought to go for a walk along Seaton Cliffs in Arbroath but changed our minds and headed for Tentsmuir Forest instead. The Car Park was overflowing but we managed to park just off the road. Most of the crowds were headed for the Beach but we headed for the Forest which was so quiet and peaceful. We explored lots of paths although eventually we came out onto the far end of the beach, which only had two or three folk on it. We had our picnic lunch there before walking back to the car.

We covered a leisurely distance of 4 miles, which took me over the 90 mile Total for the month. My daughter from Edinburgh, who has been encouraging me all the way, managed 100 miles - maybe my target for August.

In the evening we will have our family Zoom meeting - lovely day to end the month.
