Early

I had an early start today, by my standards at least. I started the walk down to the beach soon after 7.30 a.m. and was there by 9, in time to meet friends for a refreshing early swim, with almost nobody on the beach, followed by coffee at the local taverna- which is where I took the photo. It's been so hot today that any later would have been most uncomfortable to walk, and (I am told) 6 a.m. is generally a better time on hot days like today.
G finally arrived back from Athens, after 3 weeks visiting his mother in hospital. She’s now at home, fortunately, especially as from Saturday hospital visits are forbidden as part of the restrictions to try and contain the gradual but persistent increase in cases of Covid 19.
