A Spot of Gold

We took the little one to Black Hills to get her out of the house for a few hours and let her run around.  It was still miserably hot and humid and we didn't last as long as we would have liked even with having a few drink breaks and cooling sessions in the car. There were boats on the lake, lots of butterflies and birds and enough things to keep her occupied.  She loves playing house and so we spent a bit of time doing that in a shaded area, happily taking her instructions on what we were supposed to be doing.  

Just as we were getting ready to leave, we walked by the big meadow and this is what a saw.  So glad the camera was ready.  This has been cropped slightly and mid day highlights toned down, otherwise, SOOC.
