Pier road

Summer in Orkney. The sky was definitely blue earlier in the day!

Still, although it looks grey, it was a pleasant evening. I walked to the other end of the village to deliver a card and a bunch of sweet peas and the place was quite lively. Really a welcome change from the last weeks and months.

There are some tourists around now, some folk were sitting outside the pub enjoying food and drink and a long stream of cars passed me - people arriving off the evening ferry from the mainland.

I took the photo on my return journey - the road empty once more after the brief flurry of activity.
