5 miles walk but no geocache..

I went off to find a geocache this morning. As soon as I got to ground zero it was obvious where the cache would be but I simply couldn’t reach it. Despite sitting on the ground and half lying by the roadside I just couldn’t get my hands on it. 
I have checked with the owner that I was correct with my idea of exactly where the cache was so now I just have to find someone more supple than me to grab it for me so that I can sign the logbook.
