It's official!

Spring is around the corner!

I should have been driving up to Crieff today to take my friend Irene out for her birthday. She is 86 today. However, knowing how forgetful she can be - she is in the early stages of Alzheimer's - I phoned last night to check that she was remembering our arrangement. She wasn't! Son#3 was up from Surrey and had made plans for his mum's birthday, so I was happy to postpone my visit for a few weeks.

Instead I have spent a quiet day doing housework writing letters reading a book playing Mahjong on the computer, though I did walk into the village to visit the library, so I wasn't a complete slob.

The sight of these wee beauties made me smile.
