There and back again

Soussons Plantation

After all the wet soggy weather and getting stogged up with mud, we decided that after our drive down to the moor we would take a stroll around Soussons Plantation this afternoon. Jinxy always finds plenty of smells to keep him occupied and we can enjoy the walk with views of the moor all around.

This area was cut down last year and all around you can see areas which are a few years old and standing timber that must be getting near the time when they will be felled

There's a big sky today which is lovely and the moorland you can see in the background is called Assycombe Hill at 497m high. On the left, peeping over the top, is Fernworthy Forest another huge plantation with Frenworthy Reservoir at its center.
