Back in the day I always preferred reading the information-boards in castles and things, later reading the information-boards whilst wearing earplugs to shut out the babblings of the overloud but have preferred audioguides since the children grew out of being carried around, so they can be observed and chased whilst still learning things. They even both wore their own headset this time, seemingly paying enough attention to it to be amused and educated. In the afternoon we went on the wee boat out to Inchmahome Priory on its wee island, which should be worth another look next time we're in the area.
