part two

We went to Dumfries once before on the journey between somewhere on the west and somewhere on the east, but I have no sort of reference for how long it takes to get to places other than what the mapping software on the passenger's phone says, which seemed to get stuck at 42 minutes to go for some considerable time. We eventually arrived at the place in daylight and in good time for getting all the rubbish out of the car and into the cottage prior to the arrival of the food delivery. There wasn't much in the cottage for the children apart from what we'd brought but there was a trampoline in the empty plot opposite and some livestock to watch in the field beyond the trampoline.
