Time To Reflect

Visited lovely gardens with more sculpture today. Sculpture by the Lakes near Dorchester.a lovely peaceful place with about 40 sculptures by the owner Simon Gudgeon. Most are in metal and many feature various birds, otters and fish found around the lakes as well as some abstract pieces. There were also some sculptures by other artists and an indoor gallery with work on display. Most of the sculptures are made of metal of some sort and many are in the lakes. There is also a lovely vegetable garden with various cages and containers made of metal, presumably also made by the sculptor. Covid regulations very nicely enforced. There was a takeaway cafe and lots of places to sit, good quality food. Interestingly no children under 14 are allowed in. It was fairly busy with people who had pre-booked tickets but still very quiet and a lovely calm place to visit. Would be nice to go there again in a different season.
