Day 133 Hibiscus
This is one of two hibiscus in our garden. The other, a mauve one flowers beautifully, but this one has something that goes wrong every year: the flowers mostly bloom but some of them appear to be eaten while in bud, although I've never seen any creature attacking the flowers. Whatever the state of them, bees of several types are very attracted to them, going deep inside each flower to collect pollen.
The weather was variable today, but warm enough to sit outside for a while. This evening we enjoyed our second takeaway in 3 nights, Indian this time , to support local restaurants.
Today marks the end of 19 weeks of lockdown life.
