Spent a happy day in the sunshine celebrating our daughter’s birthday with a trip to Martin Mere wildfowl centre . It’s situated on the coastal plain of lancashire in an area that was once the largest lake in England before being drained and reclaimed during the 16 and 17 hundreds . 
The part we visited was set up for families and well organised to provide for  social distancing . Everybody moved around with care and sensitivity which made for a calm and relaxing day . 
The photo is of the flamingoes at their feeding station, ironically , despite the sunny weather this indoor shot was the best .
