Fir Cones

I travelled home via Chartwell, the country residence of Winston Churchill, now owned by the National Trust.  Although the house is still firmly closed due to COVID-19, the gardens and wider estate were fully accessible and with the views over to the Kent High Weald you can see why the Churchills strived to make this their home.

Among the mature trees on the estate I noted this large Fir complete with cones, and thought they would suit Chantler63's Mono Monday challenge
