Sunset over the Saginaw River

Today we left for a week’s vacation up in Michigan, escaping the heat and humidity of the Ohio Valley. The journey was a little over 5 1/4 hours, so we left about noon, arriving the Midland area in southern Michigan early evening. We checked into our hotel for the night, then went out to eat at a lovely seafood restaurant by the Saginaw River in nearby Bay City. We ate outside, where we were treated to a beautiful sunset across the river, and watched a few boats plying up and down.
