DAY THREE OF THE GAMES....

.... well things have really "heated up" on Day 3 of the Alternative Olympic Games, the Down Under team have excelled again with Warren the baby Fairy-wren compiling the best ever score in the very difficult grass skating event. The idea is for the competitors to spread their claws and slide down a steep hill covered with dry grass. 
Warren's Dad, who taught him all the "tricks" for this event (he was World Champ in the previous AOG)  was high above on the fence (first extra) whilst his sister Wilamena got right up close (second extra) and all but had Warren disqualified. 
Meanwhile after the race Warren's Dad just went "wild" (third extra) - he was just so proud!

And, although it took some time sorting out, Polly has been found!! (fourth extra) - the Officials were all set to have her disqualified until the news broke she had fled the Village with help from the other Road Walk team members to get Married! 
Yep, you heard right, the story goes at the starting line of her race she flirted with one of the other walkers (a young gun from Darwin in the  North Territory) and he chuckled at her as they set off in the race.... "if you win I'll marry you"!! 
He had heard the "late news" of just how good Polly was, and thought it would put her off.... no way, it spurred her on to win, and so now the truth is known!

By the end of events today everyone was talking about the BIG event tomorrow - the "Galah Challenge" - so we will have to see what unfolds.
