Rim Light

Not backlit, but enough so to produce a fringe of light around the stems of a sprig of pye weed. Somehow in person the effect was more impressive, perhaps because of how bright the sunlight was, being low in the sky and in my field of view. Still, I think it makes a nice image with some sharp detail against a soft backdrop.

I had to tame the white blob in the corner of the frame to avoid drawing the eye away from the main subject and surprisingly a lot of colour information was available. It has the feel of a hazy summer evening.
