ORANGE

Today's February challenge is Orange.

My blip is Naranjito who was the mascot for the 1982 World Cup which was held in Spain. He is an orange, a typical fruit in Spain, wearing the kit of the host's national team. His name comes from naranja - Spanish for orange.

This little toy was bought in Spain. We were there on holiday - not in 1982 but in 1983 when World Cup souvenirs were being sold at reduced prices. He has been hanging up in the bathroom for the past 29 years. No idea why he ended up in the bathroom - he just did. I see him every day but never take any notice of him - until today when I was looking for something orange for my blip. He's a bit scuffed but he is getting on a bit.

Today I have booked Neil's flights to Paris in April - he is doing the Paris Marathon. He found out today that he has also got a place in The Great North Run in September. He was pleased to get a place as its always over subscribed. He had better start training in earnest.

Only other thing that has happened today is that the Asda delivery arrived - all OK and on time.
