On Wednesday evening I was contacted by the very helpful neighbour from my late relative’s property. We are still in the process of selling it.

Unfortunately the very high winds on Tuesday or Wednesday had whipped the (admittedly rotten) back garage doors and had left one of them hanging on a rusty bracket. See extra.

With moderate winds forecast for tomorrow I set to with saws, drills, screws and off cuts of wood. The end product is secure, can be locked and probably has more sound wood in it than before. I could spend a bit more time making the door less air-conditioned but for the moment it is in a better state. Another day feeling satisfied.
