The foot trimmer and assistant (Day 1919)
Not quite such a frantic day today. I started off with a trip into town to cap off the pipework in a bathroom I will be replacing next week. The customer wants to remove all of the sanitary ware so I can just get on with putting new stuff in. If only all customers were like that!
Next, a trip to the bank, and the first time I have been into a bank with my face covered. They still recognised me though, and remarked that it has been a while since I was last in.
I left Kirkwall and zoomed down the barriers to Herston and replaced a sensor in Rick's boiler, then try does back home for lunch.
Along to Stromness to replace a shower and, thinking I was finished for the day I went to the horses and met up with my beautiful wife who was busy giving the horses a pedicure. I assisted by holding the horses. Talisker provided assistance by watching carefully for bits of hoof being trimmed off and eating them. Once the horses were done I spent a while washing the van before heading home. I had a very brief stop at home before being called out to deal with a leak.
Arriving home later it was a pleasant surprise to find Silverback and Bob had popped in for a visit.
I am very glad I washed the van earlier as it is now pissing down with rain...
