3rd park in 3 days!

Today we went to Longford Park with the uni girls. We packed a picnic and headed to meet them there just before lunch. It was quite overcast when we first got there, but within minutes there was glorious sunshine and we had to break out the suncream!
We sat on our picnic blankets and enjoyed our picnics and a catch up, then Isobel, Thomas and Chloe spent some time running round the field and playing with the ball which Thomas had brought. Thomas loves the girls and enjoyed looking after them whilst me, Jenna and Kay chatted and Bethan had a feed.
We wandered over to the play park, but it was ridiculously busy, hundreds of children there. I felt mean telling Thomas that it was too busy for him to play there, but he was so good and didn't complain. We got ice creams instead and looked at the goats (the only part of the animal house you could get to thanks to covid!)
After ice creams Thomas spotted some football nets and wanted to go and play so we went to that field. Both nets were in use, but he was determined to wait, so he just kicked his ball around at the side for afew minutes, until the 2 older boys playing in one of the nets asked him if he wanted to join in. He had the best hour taking it in turns to shoot and keep with the boys, and me, Jenna and Kay got the picnic blankets out again at the side of the pitch and sat watching. The girls were all pretty tired so were happy to just sit playing with their toys on the mats.
We had such a lovely day and it was 4pm before we left!!
Home for a quick tea of burritos before Thomas went to football training with Ben.
Chloe had not had a nap again today, so she was in bed by the time they got home.
