Cucklington Church and swallows
This is the church of St Lawrence in the village where I lived until going away to college. I was christened and married in this church and my parents and paternal grandparents are buried in the graveyard. Visited today and also went to see my brother and family who still live in the village.
Interesting to see the churchyard and the interior of the church are being well maintained. Some work was going on to repair a gravestone and also inside the church one of the monuments was being cleaned.
In the entrance to the church were three swallow fledglings which had fallen from their a nest a few days ago. The builders had constructed a corner for them to roost and their parents were still coming to feed them in their new location on the floor. See extra blip.
