Twisting and Turning
The runner beans are on their way! These remounted me off that rhyme from Brownies, "Twist me and turn me and show me the elf, I looked in the water and there saw......"
Do they still do that I wonder?
The garden is looking so fertile at the moment which sadly translates as.... I need to get out there and do some weeding!
Today was warm again, there were a couple of brief showers, which will have encouraged even more weeds to grow of course!
Had coffee with a friend today which was the highpoint of my day. We were in her house but sat two metres apart and had the windows open. Elswhere, the numbers from Aberdeen continue to rise, the FM today said that when she saw the pictures of some of the crowded bars, she wanted to weep. She isn't alone, banging a few heads together (from a safe distance and wearing PPE of course) might also help, sometimes it's hard to hear what people are doing. At least the track and trace system here appears to be working.
We've been so pleased to have had no deaths in Scotland for almost three weeks now, I do pray that's not going to change.
We had some delicious home grown courgettes fried in butter and garlic with our dinner, my favourite way of eating them learned from my mum many years ago. I believe you can make courgette chocolate cake too, I've not tried that yet, but that may turn out to be a very close contender!!
Please keep safe everybody and take care of those around you too.
Steps today, 5000, oops.
