My new toy!
Up in time for a run this morning as the weather was a little more tempting, just 3k but I was happy with that.
Today I bit the bullet and admitted that my trusty 9 year old Sony Vaio laptop is really on its last legs. Just a few minutes on the Apple site and then a quick trip to town and I am now the proud owner of a Macbook Pro.
I picked the wrong time to go into town. There was a queue outside the Apple store as they did all the admin and booking in, it didn't take long, only about 10 minutes. While I was waiting though the never ending chain of coaches which was part of a demo at St Andrews House came past, very slowly and sounding their horns all the way. The South side of Princes Street was completely filled with them. My ears were ringing from the sound of the horns. I had my temperature checked at the door and was quite intrigued to hear what it was but the very friendly young man who was wielding the thermometer said that it only said pass or fail. Presumably I passed!
Back home and then briefly to Ali's to drop off some bamboo skewers, as one does.
Kathryn also dropped in briefly just before tea time to return my car so I could pick the girls up for her tomorrow.
Thank you all for the nice comments on my pizza yesterday. There is none left!!
Steps today 14401
Keep well and safe everybody. Presumably the track and trace is working which is why they are finding so many cases in Aberdeen. Hopefully it is going to shock people into being more aware.
