New pud

We were meant to be visiting my daughter tomorrow on her narrow boat but that plan has had to be altered due to the boat not being in a suitable place to get to by car.
Instead we are going to have our first friends in for supper since lockdown.  We will barbecue and eat outside but it will be lovely to see them
Rather than go shopping for anything l decided it would be necessary to create a pudding from what l have got already.  Meet my Torta. ... made gluten free it is an almond cake with blackcurrants in it... and on top l have now poured more blackcurrants in sugar syrup a bit like a lemon drizzle.  We had to try a bit today and l have to say it is delicious!!  Yippee another way of using up my home grown blackcurrants from the freezer!!
I was meant to be another scorcher today but the cloud rolled in at lunchtime and thankfully reduced the intense heat.. very humid though.  Feels like it wil be a very warm night too.. ugh... must sleep
