A country morning
Back to the beach house yesterday after work. This morning I ran out into the countryside past Algies Bay, and was not expecting any sort of sunrise, as there was so much cloud and no colour in the dawn sky. However, the clouds took on more and more gold and pink, and a bit of orange and I eventually found somewhere from where I could see the bright red sun between lower cloud layers.
In the end, I chose this picture instead. Taken after the sun had been covered once more by dark clouds. The sun was still catching many clouds and giving a wonderful contrast between the really black clouds and those with some white, being turned to gold.
Especially in large, crepuscular rays can be seen. This is the fifth Saturday sunrise for the year. Perhaps this is another series!
