The Scottish Riviera

All was peaceful and calm last night - the tide came in and the moon came out and shone on the sea.  I slept, uninterrupted except by some very strange dreams, and woke just after 7 to a heavy dew and bright sunshine.

After exploring the island for a while, I left it via the causeway to Kippford and then walked up the path to Mark Hill and the Mote of Mark (see extra for the view of Rough island from up there).

Descending into Rockcliffe, I saw people arriving at the beach and a full carpark already. Time to go home!

I have had a quiet afternoon, but D is mowing lawns like a farmer who has to make hay while the sun shines..

Because I bivvied on a Friday, tonight will be Fire Saturday :-) Stay cool everybody!
