Thursday: Sooke

It’s my birthday today so we’ve come away for a long weekend with our friends, H and J.

We caught the 1100 ferry to Vancouver Island and met up with them on board.  These days you’re encouraged to stay in your car which makes sense.  

We’re staying in Sooke for the night.  J found us a beautiful B&B, right on the water’s edge.  They’re only occupying at 50% so we had the place to ourselves.  K and I took a long walk, while H and J enjoyed the hot tub.

Sooke has three microbreweries (yay!) so we had a couple of pints at the Sooke Brewing Company before a lovely dinner at the West Coast Grill.
