Friday: Cullercoats

My uncle, who died in March, could only have a very small funeral due to restrictions.  But, in addition to family, there were so many people who wanted to give him a good send off.  He had a 30 years, and more, career in the fire brigade and touched many peoples lives.  So today we gave him that send-off at Cullercoats Club.  It wasn’t a memorial, more a great afternoon in the pub, remembering him and telling stories.

The day ended with fish and chips at home.  It was a good day with lots of laughs and tears.

It was also my birthday today.
