Idyll

This is someone's front garden, just outside our village.  It looks idyllic, but each time I pass this, the duck pond, I think of an MP claiming a duck shed on expenses – years ago when the Daily Telegraph exposed the iniquity of the expenses scandal.

I suppose I found it particularly galling because, as a member of HM Forces, I had always had to support any claims for expenses with receipts; and there were strict limits on what might be claimed.

But this garden is delightful, although the expanse of lawn (outside the frame) is such that I might be tempted to invest in a large lawn tractor and to enjoy the process.
