Lama Dance

Today is lovely and sunny and warm and it started with my wife making me a lovely breakfast. It is also the day before Losar eve. Losar is the Tibetan new year, and the guys in the monasteries are starting to celebrate. These Lama Dances are full of meaning, and accompanied by horns, cymbals and deep chanting from a man in a very far out hat. I cannot tell you the meaning, but they are a site to behold. Suffice to say I filled my photographic boots and got some nice shots.

Tomorrow we are teaching the mini-monks and are going to do a puppet show, so we had better get started as at the moment we only have one puppet and no script......
