Brutal

Brutal the headlines in tomorrow morning's Daily Dragon edition! Shocking, horrifying  and disgusting were the words circulating the stadium ponds today! 

Belinda black-tailed skimmer had just outflown, out manoeuvred and just outgunned the opposition and these fantastic feats are in the Extras on page 2 where she had positively triumphed at the egg laying finals at the AOG (Alternative Olympic Games) and see her about to cross the line for a stunning finish. 

All was looking wonderful for the dragons till she left the stadium and apparently wanted  and I quote, ' a bit of a snack...'  I know because I was there capturing every gory detail.. She left the pool,  sortied up the bank and letting her feelings get the better of her grabbed Mary, one of the the most delightful butterfly spectators to the event, took her up into the trees and promptly ate her. Wings were cascading down and nothing anyone could do to stop it.

'Most inappropriate!' said the the dragon press release from their chairman.

The Olympic committee is still sitting but the dragons do contribute a lot to the event and I feel poor  Mary might be brushed under the leaf carpet. What sort of signal will it send out to the other competitors if that happens we all would like to know?
