Meet Slimy.
That is what our granddaughters have named this frog (?toad) that lives in a blue box in our garden. It was the first thing that they wanted to see when they came to visit today. Not Grandma, not Grandad but Slimy!
We had a barbecue in our garden this afternoon, well technically not a barbecue - more of an oven and a frying pan as my bag of charcoal had turned to dust and wouldn’t light!
We still had a good time and the girls had great fun running round the garden playing with the toys and of course the bubbles made an appearance.
Our daughter had a phone call mid afternoon to ask if she could help out on the nightshift again this evening. She agreed but wasn’t looking forward to it as she worked a shift last night and has only had an hours sleep today. The emergency vet surgeries are currently overloaded with work as the normal veterinary practices restrict the procedures that they are carrying out and fob everything else off to the emergency clinics. This is inconvenient and very expensive for the clients and very stressful for all the vets at the emergency clinics.
