AOG20209
The Rocky Mountain athletes heard that the St. George teams had a day off yesterday. They circulated a petition which they all signed and presented it to the committee. Since all of them had signed, and since extra days were added to the schedule, the committee agreed to call today a rest day. I drove around some of the venues to see what was going on behind the scenes but most of the athletes were lounging in their air conditioned dorms. The 100 degree heat didn't seem to bother Harriet and her daughter Heather who were lazily grazing when I passed by. Tomorrow they will compete in the Mother/Daughter 6-Legged Race. It is a new event this year and all of the Barnyard teams are very excited!
As one of the International Judges, I have awarded hearts for AOG20208 as follows:
Hearts: Danny's Vault
Perfect Take-off
Turbo's Victory
Speed Feed
Drop and Go
Honorable Mentions: The Show Must Go On
Dunnock Diving
Chaos at the AOG
Team American Crow
Peanut Grab
There were so many wonderful entries today and the commentaries just keep getting better! The AOG will go on until 14 August so there's still time to join the fun! Tomorrow's tag will be AOG202010.
I am grateful to have caught up with several friends on the phone and Zoom and accomplished a few things at home during this rest day! I hope that I'll have a little more time for Blip tomorrow, besides just the AOG. :-)
