Day 1 of La Classe de Neige at Courchevel

Backblip: Monday morning at 8:00am, we loaded 106 elememtary school students with their skis and suitcases into buses to spend the week at Courchevel. Spencer and I went as chaperones along with 5 teachers and 5 parents. There were also about 10 staff members who took care of cooking, feeding the kids, entertaining them when they weren't skiing, et cetera. The chaperones basically had to get them up in the morning, showered in the afternoon, and into bed at night. Not such a high stress job, although children are naughty. For example, girls trying to sneak onto the boys floor, boys trying to sneak to the girls floors...they've got hormones even in elementary school! We were given free 5 day passes, dropped the kids off with their instructors, and went off skiing for the day. This is not our chalet, but it is a chalet in Courchevel 1850 where we were staying for the week. It was a gray, snowy day as a big snowstorm was just moving in on eastern France at that point.
