Poppies in the barley

The field of barley at the back of the house has poppies and other wildflowers in, as well as a lot of oats mixed in. I am sure the farmer is not pleased but it is very pretty. 
A dull start to the day, but brightened up mid-morning and has been hot with hazy sunshine since. We went to the local garden centre for the first time since lockdown. It was all very well organised with a one-way system, a requirement to wear masks and hand sanitiser. Purchased a few more herbs to plant in the cracks around the saddle stone, compost and twine. Pilates, gardening, sax practice and Grandad School has kept me busy for the rest of the day.
